RadLight Ogg Media DirectShow filter 1.0.0.2

With the RadLight Ogg Media DirectShow filter, playing Ogg and OGM files in DirectShow based media players becomes simple and easy.

Install this compact tool to your computer and enjoy the advantages of the Ogg and OGM file formats in your favorite media player.

Ogg is a patent-free format provided by the Xiph.Org Foundation, and OGM, released in 2002, is based on Ogg while offering formal video support, too.

The main purpose of this filter is to ensure reliable Ogg and OGM support in RadLight.

The additional tools contained by this codec pack are Ogg Vorbis, Speex and Theora.

During installation, you can choose whether you want to deploy them to your computer or not. You can also install them later if you ever need to work with Speex or Theora format files. All these components are open-source.

After installing the RadLight Ogg Media DirectShow filter, you will be able to play Ogg and OGM files without needing a dedicated player. Windows Media Player will be enough, or you can opt for RadLight from the same developer of the filter.

RadLight Ogg Media DirectShow filter has not been developed anymore since 2005.

Its last version, 1.0.0.2, featured the following updates: RadLight Speex decoder v1.0.0.0, RadLight Theora decoder updated to v1.0.0.3 and added RGB32 output, RadLight Ogg splitter updated to v1.0.0.2, some changes in the DShow transport, added SPX extensions and eliminated the bug that caused the splitter to crash when it worked with unknown streams.

The RadLight Ogg Media DirectShow filter is a must for anyone working with the Ogg and OGM formats. The additional tools which come with this pack allow you to handle Speex and Theora formats, too, by using only your favorite DirectShow based media player.
