Please Help - EVR not working since MS UPDATE

I use two programs for editing my videos, both of which won't "Produce" the edited video since the massive Microsoft Update earlier this month.
 
The programs that I use are Cyberlink's PhotoDirector 16, and Pinnacle Studio 20.  They will both edit the videos with whatever titles or transitions that I would normally use, but when I go to "Produce" the new video, both programs just close with no warning as to why.  No error code.  No warning from my Windows 10 OS as to a problem.  Nothing.
 
I've been using computers since before there was "Windows", when everything had to be done with DOS commands, so I'm not a stranger to using a computer.  But this one has me stumped.  Does anyone have any idea what it might be?  Do I need to update my codecs, and if so, which one?
