A good codec pack that's XP SP2 compatible?

I used to love K-Lite Mega Codec Packs... but then they started saying that SP3 is a requirement.
I have a really slow PC (P4 single-core 512RAM, etc) and I don't want to upgrade to SP3 (XP) coz from past experience it makes my computer very very slow.

Why do you need a codec pack? With MPC-HC and LAV Filters, you should be able to play all major formats.

Same here like 1000's of XP users we don't have SP3. From your advice i've downloaded MPC-HC
and the first thing this progrem says is : "you need SP3" !  So that's a no go for us.

Since aug 2013 i have used the media player classic and some codecpack. It played everything i threw in it.
It was super good.
But since a windows repair i lost those codecs. Does K Lite store older versions ?  I can't find them.
